Six Years in the Heart of Periya
Our Journey
Blue Bell opened in Periya with just two ways to stay — the Tree Trunk and the Tree Hut — our first treehouses built into the canopy.
Word travelled fast, and we welcomed our 1,000th happy guest within the first year.
Grew from just over 2 acres to a full 5.5 acres, giving every stay more forest, more privacy, and more room to roam.
Crossed 5,000 happy guests — proof that Periya had quietly become a destination in its own right.
Introduced our five earthen domes, each with its own private pool — a second way to stay at Blue Bell, built for couples and families alike.
Our Core Values
Rooted in Periya's History
The land carries a real piece of Kerala's past — Periya's terrain was part of the ground Pazhassi Raja's forces used against the British, a history still traced today at the nearby Pazhassi Museum.
Two Ways to Stay, One Property
Treehouses and private-pool domes, both suited to families and couples — Blue Bell was built around both from day one in Periya.
Trusted by Real Guests
A 4.6★ rating on Google, from guests who've actually stayed — not a number we chose for ourselves.
A Quiet Forest Setting
Periya sits in Wayanad's quieter northern belt — mist over the forest most mornings, and none of the crowds found elsewhere in the region.
Meet the Family Behind Blue Bell.
Every stay at Blue Bell is looked after by the same familiar faces — hosts, cooks, gardeners, and caretakers who know this land like their own home.
Many of them are from Periya itself, which is why guests tend to leave feeling less like they stayed at a resort, and more like they were looked after by people who actually live here.
